So this applies to after you have chosen to play "Any character in 867/1066" rather than the pre-selected options

1 - Option to change the start date without going back to the main menu
2 - Option to view all playable count/duke level titles without having to click on each realm.
3 - Due to the map projection the capital shields keep floating over a neighbouring nation - which is not ideal from a cosmetic point of view
4 - Cultural/religious distinct icons, rather than all Latin-Christendom style shields
5 - Saving game rule pre-sets

The sad thing is, everything apart from idea (3) was present in CK2. I am really struggling to understand why these items are not in CK3 by default. I get the horrible feeling you guys are abandoning the mantra of "form follows function".

1 - if I understand what they are doing, wrt what they've changed wrt how the game works, this wont happen.
2 - yes please please please please please!!!! Just give me this, or a mod to do this!
3 - I'm not a super big fan of some aspects of the new map tbh neither.
4 - I assume this will come as free additions alongside various DLC.
5 - I too hope stuff like this gets added asap.

I don't understand why not. Currently when one clicks on the "play any character in x" and it loads the historical data and map for that date. All you need to have is a button for any other available dates that loads that historical data and map for the new date. I mean technically that is what happened when you clicked "Custom Game setup" in CK2 as well.

I mean, I stand to be corrected by the dev team if this is a technical impossibility - but if it is I must say I find the way they have chosen to construct the thing very odd.
