When loading a saved game earlier, I noticed that part of the name of my saved game was my computer's serial number. This is intriguing and I would like to know where this information was accessed from. I have a Packard Bell iXtreme 9200 computer, which, like all OEM computers nowadays is BIOS Locked and the serial number resides in the DMI portion of the BIOS for validation purposes, copy protection for the benefit of Microsoft. The serial number also resides in a hidden sector (sector 0) on the hard drive and also probably somewhere in the registry. I would be interested to know how the save game accessed the serial number. Any takers???
