I'm playing a self aware robot race using Individualistic Name List 2. I notice that most of my names begin with a "S.". For example, S. Estu Emerov. I assume that the abbreviation is short for Sophont, a machine intelligence with reasoning capability at least as good as a human being. I haven't figured out the reference for the "B." abbreviations. Every name has an abbreviation of some kind, but I think there are just the two in this Name List.

There are a LOT of nods to speculative fiction and speculative fiction writers within Stellaris. Just one of its charms. :)

S. is for "Synth" and B. is for "Biological" maybe?
