I have bought a Creative Audigy, installed the latest drivers.
The game runs fine, music plays good, but the SFX like battlesounds, clicks when you click something and SFX when an event occurs are erratic. They mostly do not happen at all, or very sparse. Turning off the music results in an almost silent game. It is not that a particular sound does not work and another does. For instance I can have 10 naval or land battles, and only once or twice do I hear the battlesounds (cannons blazing, steel on steel).
I have all EAX options of my new card turned off, but do not know where to look now.
Does anyone have an idea?
