Since I am wondering how Paradox managed to show us the borders and structure of the world, but in my case especially north africa and europe, I curious about the history in general. I want to learn more about the history of these nations. What I don't need is what Kings existed, their names or smth. But the dynasty names would be cool ofc. The relation between countries, their own goals and ambitions etc.. All these simple not nerdy information I would appreciate.

I am not interested in boring Wikipedia entrys which are filled with unknown and weird words. I am looking more for well described sources I can look up to inform myself.

If you could provide some sources in english, german or arabic I would be happy!

you are probably best suited, in this ask for a general overview of history for the 'modern' era by looking at some kind of text book or something like that.
