Playing as the USSR, in a fairly ahistorical game, I noticed that I wasn't able to build armored units at all until I had researched the 1941 tank tech. So I went to war with GER with no tanks other than the ones I started with. Is this WAD?

Well it was... But as the whole armor tree is reworked in 0.30 it's somewhat irrelevant as of now. :rolleyes:

I hope the post-war events are beefed up and more flexible. I steamrolled the Germans with my 12 RES and 9 MOT stacks (Why no armor? Because the USSR can't build tanks!) and found that none of the end-war events would fire. A little investigating revealed it was because my ally Republican Spain had taken Paris rather than the Red Army. So I had to annex Germany, which leaves me with the unpleasant prospect of taking a dissent hit when I release practically the whole Eastern Bloc. :wacko:

To be honest we've been focusing on the tech trees, tech teams and graphics, with some events and event chains added, but the post-war situation is still somewhat of a backburner. Those should be remedied from 0.40 or so. Though I have seen less errors than before, in 0.25 and 0.22.

Don't you think you guys could give us a better product (and sooner!) if you all quit your jobs and left your families? I mean, if something is worth doing, it is worth doing right, no?

Sure. ;) But to be honest at times it does feel like a second job I'm having, pulling in 20 hours a week if not more into the mod. I can safely say that goes for other developers too... :rolleyes:
