Looking forward to the next update, any idea when you will be able to find the time to do it?

Don't worry, Agent SMith! In this day and age of the finals week, you are surely not alone in not updating your AAR for a while! :eek:o

hey guys

I am really sorry for keeping you waiting but I haven't been able to get an internet access at the place where I live for the summer...I hope I will come up with something next week.. In any case, the greatest Soviet conquest at this AAR forum will go on. At least, I am in September of 1946 and there is a lot of red stuff out there..hehe

Operation Bolshevik Haggis?

personally feel "operation thistle"" has a nicer ring to it..... ;)

Perhaps there could be a new brand of rocket artillery developed for the campaign, nicknamed "Stalin's Bagpipes".

In the name of the comintern international! you must liberate the countries invade, not just add them to the soviet empire, otherwise your not really liberating them. Espically in places like Africa and Aisa, where european colomial occupation has been its worst, in the name of the international communist movment! (actually i'm just intredted to see whos in charge of all these new places)

This should be the goal but only once victory is won - you don't want the Americans sneaking in and oppressing the newly freed workers of Namibia do you?

Hey everyone. To make a long story short....after messing around with version for the online play...HOI2 did something bad to my computer and now, i can't play or erase that thing. With that being said=), just in case anyone cares what happened after the last update I will tell you a few things. I was able to play a few games before everything broke and as a result a few thing have changed.

-----Yes, I did capture the entire Africa - it wasn't too bad. Most of the troops from there were redeployed to Asia and England(yes, England)

-----I did invade England(Also captured Ireland) with about 50 divisions and everything was looking very nice and easy up until I got to Scotland. Even killed a few navies on the way to UK. Scotland is where thing got really ugly. Out of nowhere British pulled out about 30-40 divisions(given the difficulty settings it was impossible to beat). So I pretty much got stuck there.

-----Another problem that I faced was in Singapore. There, British and French have built up gigantic armies. Even with 3 to 1 advantage still couldn't beat them. The terrain, land fortifications, and very hard setting made it a pain. But I was slowly killing them with airstrikes and occasionally attacking just to see if they got any manpower left, u no :)

------I did kill Nationalist China and was about to attack Japan.

------USA did a lot of nasty things with their bombers, I think the last time I checked they had close to 300 planes(yeaa...) compared to my 60(busy elsewhere). So basically those bombers beat the crap out of my best units in coastal provinces all over the place. Especially in Vietnam, since it is so close to american bases.

Anyways, of course I was going to overcome that somehow and complete my mission by capturing Scotland and defeating Japan. I am hardcore. You know it. I know it. I know that you know it. However, if the game was to continue after 1947, USSR would certainly lose to the United States - just because they are so advanced and can outproduce. But keep in mind that Very Hard settings give gigantic bonuses to computer and equally large penalties to you. Probably, if the settings were normal, I would be able to beat USA in the long run.

So, maybe once I reinstall the game or get a new PC  , I shell return and do some more damage by starting a new AAR or something. I hope that I brought something new to the art of AAR :D and I hope you enjoyed what you saw. Personal thanks to everyone who read it and posted comments :p

So North Dakota, the Arsenal of Democracy, did hold out?
