Whenever I try to pause ingame, I'm unable to do so. This is on singleplayer, too. Switching from Wayland to xorg doesn't help. However, when I try to play the game using Sway (a Wayland window manager) pausing works fine. I imagine this is some sort of GNOME 41 related issue. Going from fullscreen to windowed doesn't seem to help.

FYI the only supported distro is Ubuntu, so if this is peculiar to Fedora it can't be addressed by the devs I'm afraid.

However have you tried different keyboard layouts in Linux? I assume click on the pause button in the UI works?

Is it just the spacebar which is broken or other shortcuts as well? There are also other people who sometimes have problems with keyboard shortcuts on various Linux distros:

Sorry that it took so long for me to reply.

It's only the spacebar, pause button itself works, but not the spacebar shortcut. The pause button on my keyboard pauses the game, but it doesn't feel ergonomic to use it instead of space.

It could be related to the Mutter WM that GNOME uses (which should also arise as a problem on Ubuntu as well), which somehow breaks Europa Universalis IV.
