Spanish troops walking all over my territory - bug?

I'm currently playing IGC 1.08 as Denmark. Spain has conquered Hannover and Western Pommerania. I have never been at war, nor had alliances with Spain. Suddenly, Spanish armies are walking all over my territories without engaging in combat, laying sieges or anything else. They're just there. Some armies have leaders, some don't.

Has anyone ever experienced anything similar?? Can I edit these Spanish invaders out of my savegame file?

Hannover and Western Pommerania are part of the Holy Roman Empire. Probaly Spain is the emperor and one good thing about being an emperor is that you can move your troops through every province in HRE during war.

Hm, I think Spain is actually holding the Emperor's Seat. When you say 'every province in HRE', I hope you mean every province in the world, because Denmark is not a member of HRE - I already converted to Protestantism. If you, OTOH, mean that the Emperor can move troops through every province in the HRE ONLY, then something is wrong.

The provinces still belong to the HRE, anyway the emperor thinks so =)

Or are you talking about Sjaelland or somewhere in Norway/Sweden ?

Well, they were in Jylland, Holstein, Mecklenburg and Bremen. All of these provinces belonged to Denmark, and I hadn't taken them from Spain. All of them were annexed, except Jylland, of course.

This situation actually raises a question: Are you still considered to be a member of HRE if you change your religion?? I would assume not!

Of cource you are. Historically quite a lot of small German states were protestant, and they still were part of HRE.

Everything else but Jylland makes sense though... Jylland shouldn't be part of HRE.

Check it... you know, religion screen, the territory within red line is HRE. If Jylland isn't part of HRE, then the spanish took a wrong turn somewhere sometimes...
