Me too. Unless "minimal" means that you still can play it at a reasonable speed (whatever *that* means).
Usually "minimal" means "needed to get the thing running - we're not saying it will run smooth... it might even be dead slow..." - like the minimal 64 Mb of RAM for EU2...

I don't :)

But if you only want to upgrade so you can reach the recommended config, then it can hardly be that expensive

Depends on you financial situation and what your present configuration is.:D

Regardless of the expense it will be worth it just to play CK. And of course it might help with other games - if you ever pull yourself away from CK.:)

I can imagine, if you have below CK minimum requirements :D

Still, the expense to get a cheap motherboard with a small CPU slightly above 1 GHz and some sdram can't be that big

I'm also thinking about it...a 1.000-1.500 EUR cash drain...

I fell out of my chair when I've read the MTW specs lately, that gave me a hint that my PC might be somewhat retarded...:(

Damn, I just bought a P3 866 Mhz... and 1 Ghz CPUs are very hard to come by... :(

But my graphic card and my massive amount of RAM and Hard disk should easily compensate for the 133 Mhz lacking. :)

P3 866
896 meg RAM
40 Gig Hard disk
Windows XP

Drakken

BT will show the speed on low-ends, after that we can sit & think what kind of scroll speed is really "min" :) we've finished selection techniques in Alpha and that changed a lot our perception of why we need all the processing power outlined. let's wait for Beta and see if SR changes the specs either way :).

Ach, there's still hope for us then...(the low-spec's):)

Hm... I think I'll need an upgrade...

Well, it looks as though I will buy the game, and wait some time and save money to get an upgrade. Then I will play it.
