So im currently going through the path and im seeing some pretty big issues. (at least in my opinion)

1) Lack of ability to speed things up: Im a large empire due to fighting wars to feed my behemoths so i am currently slapped with a -90% situation speed permanently. I thought hey maybe if i go on a feeding frenzy i can overcome it. Nope turns out the growth factor is hard capped at 555%. Even with the digestion option im getting only 1.9 per month and i have 1200 points to get through. Thats gonna take me far far too long. Im forced to twiddle my thumbs doing nothing, Its like if for nemesis crisis you can only harvest 1000 dark matter per year no matter how much you crack or the cosmo you can research theory techs once every 20 years, its forced length that just sucks.) luckily the elder voidspawn seems stuck so its not actively chasing me but if i have to have that thing chase me for that long im sorry but then you uncap the growth factor. Then there is also the ever increasing debuffs that again do force you to get a move on but the issue is that im stuck at 1.9 and its literally grinding my economy down forcing me to expand even more to compensate. So yeah i would say un cap the growth factor. If you want some "balance" then maybe make it so that if you want the full growth factor you gotta be in the digestion option while the other 2 use only half.

2) Some of the upgrades were not thought out clearly. I took the shield upgrade thinking a nice 75K shield would help against anti armor and hull weaponry, turns out the devs clearly didnt think fo putting a proper shield regenerator. I passed in a system that nullifies shield now its all gone and regenerates at a rate of 37 per day out of 75k.

Currently thats the biggest issues ive run into but i will update it as i go through the path.

Devs are probably minmaxers and never use shields ;-)

Agree that the timing of the situation could be adjusted, it can take an almost impossibly long time.

I can consistently get the elder voidspawn stuck by getting my creature MIA'ed by a wardec.

For me its particularly glaring because you have this huge time to wait, while fighting the entire galaxy AND having an invincible super boss chasing you. That i do not agree with, luckily its ai is buggy but expecting the player to jsut run around the galaxy avoiding it for god knows how long with no way of speeding it up (with the debuffs on top) is just terrible design in my opinion. Both other crisis progress baased on how well you doing the objectives, behemoth is the only one that will never go beyond a certain speed no matter how well you are doing the objectives which in my opinion is dumb.

Sometimes this is good. You can lure it through your enemy systems, it does a great job of removing pesky starbases and fleets. I would always get the Jump Drive upgrade for Behemoth, I think it's the first choice you get for a reason.
Yes it could be fun IF it was actually useful. Currently my 4 behemoths are so strong they demolish anything and everything even fallen empires. I also gott jumpp drive in case i get cornered.

I think devs are trying to appeal idea of forfeit everything to become super behemoths but fails to do it. Big problem is abilities use foods while eating planets don't give you food or anything after 555%. Making that cost to unique rare resource like ultra biomass or something and at stage 5 player should have choice to abandon colonies or eating planets for exchange for that biomass should at least make that idea organic.

Same problem here. But funnily enough, i grow faster than my pops getting mindmelded, and Voidspawn is stuck on my fortress world forever.
He cant leave, and my pops grow faster then they degrade. Extra funny, not gonna lie.

On the other hand, i almost ate entire galaxy and im only 2/3 on the situation

Yeah i in theory like the malus to force you to get a move on but i refuse to have that AND be forced to go through a hard capped amount of time. If i had kept eating the entire galaxy would be dead by the time it was half finished.

Yeah its a bit silly although for me the biggest issue was not having enough trade.

In case you get cornered? Sounds like it is useful then, it prevents losing to a surprise gameover from the voidspawn.

The 90% reduction from empire size seems pretty harsh, especially since the situation itself increases your empire size. I ate over 200k of my own pops trying to lower it and couldn't get it to budge at all.

Okay, this makes me feel less crazy that others are having the same issues.
1. The situation needs to clearly state the cause and scaling of the debuffs.
2. The transfer of pops is laughable. I have 240k pops, each month I transfer 40. Just 40. It will NEVER transfer enough. And the idea that I should eat my own planets, while fine as a meme, is not the RP of any of the lore. We are supposed to become one with the beast not it eat us.
3. The cap on growth is silly. Basically telling players there is a ceiling to how good you can play.

In my run, I couldn't complete the situation. In order to keep up with the upkeep costs and by virtue of the galaxy attacking me as the crisis, I ate literally every planet and still was only 70% done with the situation.

I don't think transferring pops actually does anything. I had the behemoth eat about 1/3 of my empire and didn't get any situation progress (or speed). Once I completed the situation, the rest of my empire just blipped out of existence.
