As the 483 campaign season draws to an end, Ciancia succumbed to his various ailments. An unpopular man among his peers, few mourned his passing on a personal level but all the Republic lamented his passing amongst the turmoil of war. His successor is Senator Marius, appointment as Principal Senator and Consul will see him vested with Imperium. Once done, he shall assume command of the Republic's levies and see the war concluded.

As stated previously, I'm ignoring the game mechanics and not playing as a merchant republic. As such I'll be picking up as Marius rather than continuing to play his practrition family. I'll also be counsel commanding the relevant titles to Marius to carry on the story without the opinion hit/civil war from revoking titles.
