STIBILE GAME FROUP


I have played some HOI2 games by know, and feel its a good game, but many games faind theself in need for substitutes.
Many non-organized or random games end up in not even being finnished, and if they get finnish, then often, with very few of the orginale players left.

This wi want to do something abaout, and after experienses with some realy good games, that have taken dayes to play, with the same stabile group, im convinsed we can make a stabile game group, with players of same seriusety, and with same interests of how a game shoud look like, and with pre agreed play times and rules, maby 1-2 times a week.


We are a few players, but not so many that we cover all major nations,
im hoping for players i know, and maby not know, who are interested in playing games from 1936 - and to the end, with pre agreed cuntinue times, to joyn in. We have 3 spots free.

a satbile group of players, for playing in the weekends or other dayes we can agree on. Im thinking that the same players evrytime creates a game envirement of high qualety, and that can truley make a game realy good.


I spesialy hope the players from the game in High Commands Game thrad all will joyn in.

The word is "stable".

You have not invented warm water. Many of us have been there, and it's a safe bet to assume most of us are already involved in various groups.

Now, if you want to start your own group, maybe you should consider building some kind of frame work for it.
IMO it would be nice of you to state the following things so that people could more easily make their minds:
-What basic rules would you enforce?
-What would be the time and day of the week for play?

Then finaly why not simply encourage players to discuss things here? Would be nice to give all much more visibility on the building process instead of asking to contact you through email.

As for myself I'm all with you for playing games from 1936, and to the end, with pre-agreed continuation times.
And I do think too that having dedicated players brings more depth and quality to the game.

I Agree General Well

You sure have some good poingt General Well, we are a group, and you are of course most welcome to joyn us.
We needed a few more players, so wi have to all the major contrys.

I also agree that its all fine to post here, the mail is more easy because it saies pling in the computer speecers when i get mail. Meaning i can respond alot faster. But all are of course more then welcome to write and ask all they want here and elsewere.

The rules we can agree on depending on what the players want for the current game, but its my opinion that most of the players in our group prefere Semi historicle, with no SU-German war intill 41, and JAP-US intill 41, and that China and Albania is the exaption.
I also think we like to play 5-9 Hours, and save and cuntinue an spesefied date and time.

The frame work i think and hope can be founded under High Commands game thred.


If there is any other questions, i will anwser them as fast as i can.

Best of luck. If you need ideas have a look at our aussie group threads. We've been playing as a group since Hoi orginaly was released and now with HOI 2 so that nearly 3 years with the same core group of people, some come and go but you kept it going.

In about 20 mins, were starting a new sunday game with 10 starters, so all positions are full, and we still have some other people to join so there will be a few co-ops maybe.

Just creat lists of people ICQ, emails so you can keep in regular contact besides the forum as it is down alot.
