i recently borrowed EU2 off of a friend, the game installed fine but it said it had a known compatability issue with my version of windows (vista) everytime i press play on the opening menu, nothing happens. no error or crash just nothing
I moved this to the Tech Support forum as it's not a bug for a game to not work under an OS that didn't exist when the game's last patch was released.
You'll see a few other threads here on the same topic. First thing to try is to rename the eu2/avi directory to anything else, to stop the intro videos running.
well thank you for moving it, but i dont even get the start up video, just the little screen that says " play, install, uninstall, credits" anyway to fix this?
It sounds like you're running off the CD rather than the game installation on your hard disk. Try navigating to your EU2 directory and double-clicking on eu2.exe
OK, something's really wrong with your installation. I suggest you uninstall, and manually delete the game directories.
Now install again but do not choose the default path, instead point it to a new directory such as c:\games\eu2 . Then install 1.09 and point it to that same directory. Rename c:\games\eu2\avi to something else, and try that.
