Hello,

I had a question about the static howitzers in this game. I typically use them for counter battery such as the vetted 25 lbers for Scots and desert rats. However what do people think of the M2A1? I use it for counter battery, but it’s unvetted. Is this something people use, or are people taking more 107 mortars? I haven’t seen a 105 in competitive play.

1v1.

However, in team games are they used for counter battery? I primarily use them against static divisions but I find the 16 LW has better arty and that in turn makes destroying 88s harder.

I can't speak to 1v1 but in a team setting they work well and have good range. Should be perfect for counter battery or removal of support assets. Park command nearby for increased effectiveness.

they are good in 1v1s to counter mortars or attack static troops, they are not good in team games as they can get counterbatteried pretty easily, I play them alot against 17th the airborne and 352 division as they can counter battery their masses of mortars and if needed can deal with their small tanks(though I havent done this more than once or twice).
