Hey, how do I cure stds? I know a doc can do it, but I don't know how as there are no options to do so.
can you answer the question?
thanks a bunch, this was helpful. Nowhere is it mentioned how to heal them from stds... it's dumb. I waited a few paycheques in a brothel then all my characters got infected... my guys are slutsYeah, I said the same thing .... instead of just pushing you away to somewhere else, being a moderator, super moderator or whatever AndrewT's position is here you'd figure they would know something to at least help! instead we all get the usual "noted and will mention it to the team" or this bs but no answers or follow ups.
Anyways, if you have a medic/doctor in your crew or if your boss character has the heal ability you can heal the infected character in many ways. This can be done anywhere from the level one view (street or inside buildings) anywhere as long as you have those with healing abilities and the infected character present. Go into ambush mode, from there select the individual with the ability to heal, if they are already first in turn as in you boss character with healing ability available they would have the heal action option highlighted in yellow. Click that action to heal and they will heal gangsters that need healing. If more than one is needed to heal just get out of ambush mode and re-enter and repeat till all are healed.
Not sure if you know or have noticed but you can select who you want to heal as well after selecting the heal action option. Yes' in ambush mode while your setting up before going into actual combat you can select characters individually. You can also select that individual Medic/Doctor before going into ambush mode and they will be the only one in that mode even in the presence of others in your crew, this makes it easy when having to heal multiple gangsters ... ambush mode, heal, out of ambush mode, ambush mode. heal, out of ambush mode, repeat till all healed ....
Another way is to equip that infected gangster with a Medics kit and it will heal them and take away that STD. If you didn't know that kit also gets you gangster out of Elvira's spell if used on them. You can use the aid kits but it may require one or two more to do the trick.
If your infected gangster is a doctor or for some reason it is your boss character and they themselves posses the ability to heal then you can cure yourself by going into ambush mode as described before.
Another way, in street view, indoors or outside, with a character that has the ability to heal or one that is equipped with Med kits etc selected. Right click on infected gangster and the circle option will appear and will have the heal option highlighted, select and the character will move to that gangster and heal them using their ability or kit equipped. Yes, this also works personally and the infected gangster can heal themselves this way if they themselves have the heal ability or a med kit etc.
FYI, the longer you wait to heal the STD the less and less HP/health those gangster will have and if they have a lover they will spread it to them and even after you heal them they will continue to get that STD since their lover that they gave them to has it now as well. I believe that at some point they die but I have never let it reach that point.
Hope this helps somewhat and it's not too late for your gangster. Thanks for your help as well AndrewT, I understand none of us are sooooo busy, have very little time or are as important as you are in all this and that you have more important and better thing to do unlike the rest pf us. Keep up the great work here ...

This kind of attitude is not beneficial to a constructive conversation or a welcoming environment. It's fine if you don't know what a Forum Role specifically entails but you can always ask instead of bashing somebody for doing their job. Thanks for your help as well AndrewT, I understand none of us are sooooo busy, have very little time or are as important as you are in all this and that you have more important and better thing to do unlike the rest pf us. I mean, I came here for an answer... as nowhere are we told(the players) how to solve this issue, in-game or out, And all of the paid reviews and "guides" out there barely touch on the subject beyond praising the fact that the feature is in the game. So I thought it was a technical problem as I had issues with how to heal(technically) my characters. And there were no subfolders for in-game questions.Andrew is a Moderator & Paradox Support Representative.
