So I've notice that Steam hasn't show any of the new Paradox releases for almost half a year or so! Like Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods. Never Showed up on the main page on the slide show or even in the "NEW RELEASES" tab or even the "COMING SOON" tab too. Even if you checked the "SHOW DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT". I've never seen a Paradox release in the pass half a year or some on the front page. No advertisement nothing!

All the same with Crusader Kings II DLCs, Leviathan: Warships, Victoria II: A Heart of Darkness, Victoria II DLCs, nor do I think Cities in Motion 2. Why? Am I the only one who notice this?

Good example Europa Universalis IV has yet to show up on the Front page any where! Why? This is one of the biggest Paradox game. You would think they would advertise it no? To show people or give people a chance to get the Pre-Purchase Offer/Pre-order bonuses and to tell them the 10% off offer! You only get 100 Years War Unit Pack DLC if you per-order while it's still June. After June you don't get that get it. (From what I'm to understand.) So it makes no sense.

Why has Steam been doing this? I'm not the only one to notice this am I?

Steam and Paradox is not the greatest love story ever told.

Maybe it's too nische for that type of stuff. Sad, really.

But still! I've seen $10 $5 indie games make the damn front page! I'm talking about in the slide show! The hell is going on there? Steam no love Paradox? Also as a business perspective it makes no sense.

Definitely.
I hope with EUIV sales will pick up to a stage where steam will have to remedy the situation.

I think the publishers need to pay extra money to have it on the frontpage of steam.
Adn the reason steam puts up indietitles ,is because they probably make a lot of money on those games. But have to put in more effort as well.

I can't imagine they'd hide AAA-high-buzz-titles back six pages if the developer didn't pay up.

Once again that doesn't make sense in a business perspective. It would be like me going to a game store to pick up a new game or pre-order a new game, and the only way to do so it to ask for the man to go in the back and get the game. Why not put in on the shelf? In the view of all people? So I can just walk in a get it? Or for other people to see it and know it's out. Or people who may not even come in for the game pick it up take a look at it and say "This looks like a cool game. I should by it.". You would increase sales would you not? Would you not want people to see the game? Would you not want people to see your product, your merchandise? To tell people of the Pre-Purchase Offer/Pre-order bonuses. Why would you force a company to pay to display there product? The product is where you make your money.

Good example Fist Puncher is on front page slide show. It's a $10 game!

I don't understand Steam any more!

I saw Heart of Darkness recently... Paradox games do not stay weeks in the slideshow but they do show after being released.

I've been looking for them for over half a year. I have yet to see them. But like I said. Not even in the "NEW RELEASES" tab or even the "COMING SOON" tab too. Even if you checked the "SHOW DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT".

I think we can all agree that paradox needs an extra steam tab all of their own :)

When CK2 came out it was definitely up there for a while, and EU4 shows up on the upcoming games list. Heart of Darkness is a little weird though, it doesn't show up in a search. I had the same issue with CK2 expansions before, too. The best way to find A Heart of Darkness or CK2 expansions seems to just be to search for the base game and then scroll down the store page for that game a bit. There's a 'DLCs available for this game' section, and all the expansions are in that list whether they show up in a search or not.

I was surprised this morning to see EUIV up on the main page. I'll take that as a good sign of things to come.

Hmm i can't see EU4 in the top seller or pretty much anywhere else except in the "coming soon" tab, buried under a mountain of Magic 2014 dlc

Magic2014 indeed
What's next? Advertising "Risk" the game over EUIV?

JK ;)
I had it show up on the main page as well yesterday.

CK2 is much older then the time frame i'm talking about.

I looked for it today and it's gone. Damn only 1 day.

Check again.
Now I feel stupid posting in this thread :)

At least this will create the well deserved buzz.
