Steam, Patch 1.01 and PI - whats wrong with you guys?

Ok, just bought the game via steam. Looking into forums says 1.01 is newest version but steam is unable to put the patch online as it seems.

Now, as i played all HoI series so far i am surprised that i cant download the patch via the forum here. Whats the reason for this? It can take months (if ever) for steam to update us.

So please, PI.... just put the patch online in tech forum like you did with ALL other HoI series and enable us to download it.

The worst part is that the patch is already up through alternate means so this is basically nothing but an inconvenience to people who have purchased the game.

Oh well.

We're not allowed to release patches here.
This has nothing to do with piracy or with us (the team).

It's not that hard to send an email and check it....

The attempt to make it harder for pirates is fine. However being a legal owner of the game and having far more troubles updating the game than pirates because of the policy is not. I guess it's not DH team to blame anyways. PI could have allowed patches to be released on forums and none of this would be an issue.
 
I don't get why everyone who has steam is complaining.

A) Do you really need steam to patch it for you? Downloading isn't a big issue.
B) So what if it isn't on the forums? Go read the technical thread again, specifically HERE.
C) Use the steam version of the patch sent by Martin and the rest of the developers themselves who worked tirelessly to give you a steam version of the patch despite Paradox/Valve issues. Again, by the time you've complained, the patch will probably have been sent to you. I didn't even know there was a patch until I checked my email.
D) Install the language hotfix if needed.

(Can this thread be locked/a pin be created addressing the steam issue?)
 
A) Yes, for PI does not release directly patches but by the sellers
B) The link is to become beta-testers, not to have access to official patches
C) What Steam version?
D) Ok

(I'm afraid you are overevaluating your role in this forum)
