So, whenever I try to fire up Imperator it says it can't because the game is running already. I have to completely close out Steam (which obviously gets annoying) every time in order to play the game. Even when I open the task manager Imperator doesn't seem to appear for me to give it a shut down there. Is there any fix for this issue?

What antivirus do you use? Add imperator.exe and Paradox Launcher.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add them to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
