When I click on start in the first menu it doesn't do anything.
I've tried starting it via the common folder and it tells me that the MSVCP100.dll is missing.

I've tried both validating and reinstalling, but to no avail.

Very, very annoyed by this, does anyone know how to fix it?
 
Got the same problem as well

I got the same problem. Get to the screen where you can register your game, check for updates or play. When I select play, nothing happens.

Hope some of you guys have a suggestion/solution for this problem.

Thanks for the tip above. That solved my problem and the game is now starting :D

Didn't fix it. :(

If reinstalling the redistributable does not fix it (see Tegus' post and link above), and you're using Steam, what you can try is to delete ClientRegistry.blob in your Steam folder (located at e.g. c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam). Turn off Steam first (exit it properly, don't just close it), then remove the file, then restart the Steam client. This is a bit of a "cure all" remedy that sometimes helps with these types of issues (games not starting), and there's no downside to trying it. It will not delete your games or your settings.

It may not help, but it's something you can try. :)
