Hi there, I bought the game on a store, it's the Steam version. Note that I did NOT have Steam previous to buying this game, and it just got installed. In order to proceed with the installation, Steam needs to update; problem is, it doesn't. It tells me that "you need to be connected to the internet" in order to run it. Yet I am connected, and it won't run.

Already tried running it in Admin mode, there is no difference.

NOTE: I'm currently abroad, since the only way I could buy this game was by going to Europe. The internet I'm using is a wireless one belonging to my hotel. Logging in requires the use of a site called "Naboo" which apparently provides the internet. I don't know if this is a particularly useful piece of information, but it's the only thing I suppose can effect this.

I really was looking forward to playing immediately after purchase, but I'm afraid I won't be able to :(

EDIT: Problem solved, thanks anyway! :)

Sorry to bother, I have another problem.

I bought the game at a French store, ran Steam, everything runs fine.

Then, when it's going to install, an error pops up, saying the servers are too busy and for me to try again later.

Then for some reason Steam starts downloading Crusader Kings 2.

All of its 800 megs.

And my internet is mega slow.

Why is this happening when I bought the DVD?

We really cannot help you with problems with the Steam servers, I'm sorry. You'll have to contact them.
