Steam workshop mods on GOG owned game

Hello. Having a blast with AOW4. But because me and other people who bought the game on GOG we are missing out on many mods that are available only on STEAM and not on Paradox modding site. Would it be possible for the devs to enable SteamCMD to download mods with anonymous login? Please, consider

Hey, thanks, how very nice of you I'm interested in these two:

1. Smaller Combat Banners
2. Less Visual Clutter

Maybe the author will give it a try.

But in the long run it would be great if we could simply download these mods ourselves. I don't understand why am I being punished for buying a game through GOG. First there was this pre-order bonus for Steam-only, now this thing with mods. How disappointing.

I also put this up on Steam forums for -hopefully- to be noticed by the modders in addition to a comment on each workshop item page.

It would be great if mod authors, who share their mods via Steam Workshop, would also consider sharing them via Paradox mod hosting. Currently I see GOG.com and Epic Games Store users being left out of some mods which are exclusively available via Steam Workshop.

I've downloaded the mods posted on GOG AoW forums. After placing them in the mods folder the launcher recognizes them as present, but unfortunately they can't be activated like the mods subscribed via Paradox modding site. Mods are installed, but not in any playset. So there's hoping that the author will help.

I have gotten a positive response from the author.

That put aside, you are actually just one single step to your goal. ^.^

You can see in my image, I am using the non-Steam-Workshop version I have prepared for myself. After you put the mods in the correct folder, just add them to your playset manually.

Since it is more than just a few, I have refrained from leaving a comment on the mod authors sites. But if you own a Steam account, I suggest you make posts on the main forums and workshop forums. Farsight e.g. is surprisingly attentive to random forums posts.

Yeah, I basically just tried to track down all the mods I was interested in so I could just get them all done in one go.
Unfortunately, I cannot post on steam, though. Top 5 are the most important, I can manage without the rest.
