Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I am fanatic materialist and authoritarian, the Quarren Empire. I have a research federation with a fanatic materialist that’s egalitarian, the Cataclysm Consumer Products There is a a 3rd empire in question here, Selkath Dominion, that is also fanatic materialist and egalitarian. They have 2 subjects one is fanatic xenophile and materialist, the Uriy, and the other is fanatic spiritualist and pacifist, the Mishar. Now the Selkath have been invited to my federation 3 times. And every single time they have accepted and then immediately left, like within the same day. First time the Cataclysm invited them. Second time I invited them. The third time, a new member of the federation invited them that joined between times 2-3 (the Backatta who are xenophile, militarist, and materialist). This showed me that a new member could join, and that is something with the Selkath specifically. The Selkath have always had the Mishar as subjects. They subjugated the Uriy between invites 1-2. I think the logic that makes them accept the invitation in the first place is separated from the logic used to keep their spiritualist subjects loyal, and it doesn’t conflict until they join the federation. I am attempting to switch to egalitarian ethos here soon and will try and replicate it again with then the same ethos as the Selkath.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Have an egalitarian fanatic materialist overlord with a pacifist fanatic spiritualist subject. Be an authoritarian fanatic materialist with a federation that includes an egalitarian fanatic materialist who are the strongest empire in the galaxy. Either have the other member or yourself invite the egalitarian fanatic materialist, that has the spiritualist subject, into the federation given that they show they will accept.
