Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Upgraded ship designs cannot be saved

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Turn off auto generate and auto upgrade, clear all modules and add new ones, the option to save will be greyed out

I got the same issue with identical game version, 0 checksum modifier mods and a few purely visual mods.

To evade the issue I can either cycle through randomized design names until I hit one that I can save, or I can change the ship name manually so I am certain it does not appear in the default name list, then it is possible to save it.
Not a big thing, but certainly a small nuisance.

Yes, they are exclusively visual mods that do not affect checksum.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Upgraded ship designs cannot be saved, the save button is greyed out and and displays a warning message, Quote - Can not save.
A design with that name already exists for another ship size - End quote.
And this happens Even though you can clearly see that the name is not in use among the two ship designs you have at the start of a game.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Just start a game with any empire, or even a random one, species name list does not seem to matter.

Thank you for the report!

We are aware of the issue, it has already been added to our bug database.

Current workaround is to change the name of the design or use the randomizer to find one that is not "taken" for the button to become available again.
