Description
Chosen One Trait Not Added To Ruler (Under One Rule Origin) [Gemini v3.8.1] (cdec)

Game Version
[Gemini v3.8.1] (cdec)

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I am playing with the under one rule origin, and my main empire leader never got the psychic or chosen one traits added to them when they were acquired. I just got the chosen one from the shroud and it says my leader successfully got the trait, but nothing shows this.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Play a game using the new "under one rule" origin, and successfully make this leader the chosen one from the shroud event. Ruler also never gained normal psychic trait.

Can confirm that the Great Awakening does not apply the Psychic trait to the Luminary for the Under One Rule origin.

Edited to add: Using the console to manually add the Psychic trait also doesn't seem to work; with debugtooltips enabled, the tooltip still doesn't list the Psychic trait for the Luminary. Is it possible that the [immune_to_negative_traits] flag is somehow blocking the Psychic trait?

Shroud events in general seem to be broken for this origin. I have twice successfully conjured a psionic avatar but received the avatar neither time.
When I unsuccessfully summoned an avatar, a hostile one did appear.

I want to bump this because it's a very frustrating change/bug that would be good to get some confirmation on.
It's impossible to get the Chosen One trait for your ruler, neither with console commands. This was always my go-to roleplay thing and now I can not do it anymore. I do not want to build this Empire when I know my player character will just die after a few years.

I kindly request a fix. <3

On that note: does anybody know if there are other ways - a workaround if you will - that allows us to extend the life of our ruler indefinitely? Perhaps adding lifespan with console commands or perhaps even included of this God-Emperor origin itself?

I had entertained the hope that they intentionally blocked the Chosen One trait because the Under One Rule will make your character immortal anyway.

Hello!

Thank you for the report!

We are aware of the issue, it has already been added to our bug database.
I hope the eventual hotfix would include a retroactive fix as well, because otherwise the only reasonable recourse would be to restart the campaign completely.

Edit: Also, if anyone can figure out a workaround that actually works, it would be much appreciated.

I found one, but it is very unelegant. The only way I found was with a mod. Many mods try to add the Chosen One trait to your ruler, which obviously does not work. The mod in question is a trait you can pick that, amongst other things, makes your race ancient and immortal. Which means none of the leaders can die.

While I do not like this; I use it for now. Are steam links permitted here?

I don't want to spoil anything but the storyline... might provide on that front?

Also, me not knowing that ahead of time, I planned for a synthetic ascension ahead of time. My Under One Rule leaders have been the same individuals since the start of the game hahaha (and before synthetic ascension, they were lithoids).
