Let's see if it happens again.

same for me, exited the game from desktop and relaunched and problem persisted until I hit "m" so take my camera out of system view to galaxy view and upon going back into the visually glitched system it was normal again.

Edit: the issue came back in a different system after my constructor finished creating an outpost while my camera was in system, again going to galaxy view and back fixed it.

I've hit the same issue as described above.
Restarting the application did not fix the issue.
The issue occurs after zooming into a system with a unit from the system selected (i.e. select a unit in a system, hover over that system with the cursor and press E; once in the system, the bug will appear, though not 100% reproducible, but it has a higher chance to appear while a unit is selected).
Also noticed the issue occuring when having a unit selected in system view and then issuing an order in that same system.

Not sure if this is relevant but i'm running the game on OSX .

Also experienced it... was worried my graphics card was about to die (never seen anything quite like it in Stellaris before). Very glad it's just a bug.

Happened on first contact.
...seems to have stopped now all empires have been contacted. Maybe...

I heard someone on reddit claim it's related to Neutron Stars.

I have the same issue (flashing green lights in system view) and can confirm that issuing an order to a selected unit seems to trigger it.

It sometimes goes away after opening and closing system view multiple times but reappears frequently, even after a restart.

Same issue, although for now it seems to have spontaneusly gone away after i switched back and forth between systems a few times.

Seems to only occur in systems you own, I am using the new imperial ship set perhaps thats related somehow?

Same issue here, using the imperial ship set as well. I was able to reproduce it on:
Manjaro Linux
Stellaris Build ID: e9ebc53

Just got the same issue, managed to grab this beauty between all teh flickering. Selecting units from galaxy map and then clicking on the system, then deselecting the units and going into system vieuw did it for me.

Restarting stellaris from scratch did not fix it however :c

Issue is definetley related to the imperial shipset. Can be reproduced by building a station in a system, selecting a ship bedore entering system view.

Reproduced multiple times today, most of the mods, Imperial ship set. Seems to be directly linked to ordering a ship into the given system, when I zoom out, change the ships orders and zoom in again, the green flicker is gone
