Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
since the update its constant i have tried rolling back i have tried new games nothing i do has stopped the issue on every daily tik the game freezes for a few seconds it took me almost 4 hours to do one war over 10 years...

Later in a game (when most planets are colonized and everyone has lots of ships), I will feel a significant lag spike on both the 1st and 2nd day of each month. I did feel a significant slow down yesterday as I guided a 3M doom-stack of allied ships around to fight the War in Heaven crisis event.

As I understand it, the game does a lot of extra stuff under the hood on the 1st of each month (AI planet management, resource updates, etc.). On the 2nd day of each month, research will tick over and planets will change ownership (help an ally take a planet - the planet will change ownership to your ally on the next 2nd of the month).
