Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I am at war with a federation that contains the galactic custodian (AI player). When their final planet is destroyed I get the notification of successful bombardment, then a notification of the end of their custodianship, and then the game hangs indefinitely.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Kill the custodian

I am also having this issue, the custodian in my save is being eliminated by the gray tempest. Leaving the galactic senate has no impact either, game still crashes when the custodian is eliminated.
