Virtual ascended gestalt cannot colonize new habitat

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After ascending virtually, having found the precursor home system and building a habitat there, I am unable to colonize it. The colonization plays out, the ship is built, it approaches, colonizes, the bar fills up and the Advisor notes that the colonization is complete, but the habitat is still uncolonized.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Start as void machine, ascend virtually, find last clue for precursor home system (Irassian concordat), survey, claim, build habitat over gas giant Irassia orbits. Try to colonize through planet selection - colonize. Wait for the colony ship to land, the bar to fill up.
