I bought the Series X game that had the bonus character Nocturne. Right now, I can’t play past week 6. Once I start to flip to the map, that’s when the game dies. It just arbitrarily dies after I do all the stuff with my agents, supplies, and allies, but once I hit the map, it’s dead. The game is flat out broken, and no matter how many campaigns I delete or how few saves I have, the game just dies at week 6 for absolutely no reason. Having paid nearly $60 for a game that does not work, I am a bit peeved. I love this game, but the fact that I cannot progress past week 6, is outright maddening. It died when I was at week 36 during the Other Side Marteau heist, and then would not actually work at all. So I deleted that campaign and two others. My wife has her campaign and is having the game die just after finishing the Marteau heist. She escapes, and then, boom, black screen, then resets to the Xbox menu.
This isn’t an Xbox Game Pass copy, this is the copy I bought from Microsoft via their portal that included the extra stuff. If this were a game pass thing I would chalk it up to being a “free” game, as a lot of the game pass stuff is not on par with this game. That is the infuriating part of all this. I can play Fallout 4 on Game Pass with zero problems and yet this game has died a death every time I play it.
I don’t know if it’s a connectivity issue with the servers that it communicates with for game saves and progress, or if it’s just a game that was released before QA got done with it.
Regardless I am uninstalling it and calling it quits until I see that it functions for ONE other person without fail. To date, everyone I know who is playing it is having the same experiences I am.
