Strange corruption with latest drivers

Hello all,

I've EUII, HoI (version 1), Victoria and CK.

Win98, directx 9.0c, geforce fx5200 with latest driver installed recently (71.84), 1024x768 32 bit.

Pc works good, all others game runs perfectly, EUII and HoI work fine... but CK and Victoria have some problem!

When game start, screen blink and mouse cursor not refresh at all, the games are totally unplayable

BUT... EU2 and HoI works very good! Note that previously have 56.64 detonator and directx 8.1, but some others game won't work with these (but CK and Victoria runs fine).

Please some advice!

Have you tried Castellons standard advice?

1) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
2) Set the color depth to 16BIT
3) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
4) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-3.

Can you be a little more specific, do you just get a screen flicker so that it is too annoying to play or you physically cannot play.

Yes, I've a screen flicker but games are playable.

Currently I've solved the problem, as Gaute remember, setting screen resolution at 16bit: now works ok
