Strange Interface/Text problems

Loaded the prologue from steam today. Starts fine and i can play it but all text in and out of game is completly f***ed up. I just see the placeholders like "menu.main.campaign". Sadly i cant provide any screenshots because the game is totally bugged so that all screenshots are just black

Im running x64 Windows 7. I let steam search for corrupt data and i have reinstalled the game 4 times. I even installed the utils in installUtis order manually but nothing works. Anybody an idea how to fix this?

What language/timezone/area is your windows set as?

i had the same problem because my language in steam was set on "German", just change it from whatever it is to English and it should be fine

Yep, english works. Has 400MB more then the german version. Guess the translation isnt finished yet. Thx for help

Wow, how can you select German or any other language for the game in the first place? The game is not even released yet and the language versions are not ready. In my Steam account if I right click on the game and select properties I don't even see the languages tab. Where do you change the language, or is it the entire account's language setting itself that causes problems?

One of my friends can select languages, but he just get codes for texts.... So the game will be localized ? Really great

OK, but how can you change the language? Or where have you bought an unfinished localized version? Or how can you have the game to be set at any other language than English? That is what I would need to get answered

I'll ask him if I see him tonight, but he was using steam and just changed with the language pannel. It was about 24h hours ago now, maybe it's not possible anymore.

Hi, on the steam version we can change language using the properties panel. I had the same problem because steam downloaded automatically the French one for me. I had to change to English and check the files, then everything worked fine (in English).


Btw, great game so far, can't wait to play the full version.

Yeah, same problem. Steam downloaded the German Version, had to change to English.

Wow. For us it always downloaded the English version, therefore there's no Languages tab at all in the Properties. We must contact Steam regarding this. Many thanks for the great help. You guys rule.
