My last game the Nubians last province was the county of mayo.They ended up taking 3 other Irish counties also.

Well, you played him as Duke of Apulia in 1066. You just didn't play with him as Duke in 1067.
I had the Duchess of Toscane as the Papal Controller. Some whisper that she was his mistress.
