I have no screenshot, only a desperate story to tell.

I started as the Kingdom of Germany. My King had a total of nine (yes: 9) daughters. No brothers or uncles so: no heir. I re-married twice, hoping to blame my wives for the lack of sons, alas.

But that is not all. If I could just marry my daughters off and have them make grandsons, the von Franken dynasty would be secured. Unfortunately, four of my daughters died in their infancy. The fifth died while I was waiting for a vassal of mine to accept the marriage offer. The sixth died while I was waiting for the French heir to mature. He was just one year short of maturing, so I figured it would be worth the wait. The seventh and eigth, I managed to marry off, although they both went insane and got all kinds of fertility penalties.

Finally, it was up to my ninth daughter to save the day. I married her off and waited, waited and waited. After about five years, I checked up on her and JUST as I was checking out her character screen, I notice she gets pregnant! I rejoice for about two seconds, but then, RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES, she dies....

Needless to say: I restarted the game as my King was getting quite old by then...

Heres the Sheik of Venezia, who is beseiging his own castle for me.

It seems like your response is pretty obvious, Veld. "That's impossible! You're my sister and you have cooties!" :p

I had this event fire for my king who died two years ago. WAD?

(And yes, I did mod the game to play as the Il-Khanate with an uberking. Just playtesting something.)

WAD.

Bastard legitimization events automatically fire events for their fathers. This is very useful -- otherwise your bastard uncle would legitimize himself, messing up your intricately-planned succession, and you wouldn't know.

Of course he could. Everybody can grant titles in DV if they want to. Countries without desmene limits never do, because there's reason for them to bother; but they can still do it.

So far as I understood playing with any of the countries that you are not meant to play as pagan and etc. in Dv, will cause you not being able to grant any titles to courtmembers and etc.. It is not anything I have tested myself so I am not sure of it...

I haven't tried it in DV, but in CK I was able to grant titles as Venice. I couldn't create any of them, or grab claims, but if I wanted to banish a courtier to the provinces I just had to make him Count of something.

BTW, he is a Christian. Most pagan/moslem titles are exactly the same as their Christian counterparts, except that they're impossible to re-create when destroyed. ILKH (the Il-Khans) and GOLD (the Golden Horde) might be special, because they have the no-desmene limit thing. The Papacy, the Knightly Orders and Byzantium are the only other titles that are special in any way.

So in theory the only thing that's different about a Christian King of Navarra and a Christian King of the Il-Khans is the desmene bonus.

I actually played my last DV game as Duke of Tavasts, which starts as a pagan-King title.

Game played with DV 2.0 (unpatched version).

Making it one screenshot only will need a little clarification. This boy, Harold Godwineson, fell in love with a girl in the court. I let him, since it's oh so romantic, no? No. The boy had to fall in love with his one year younger sister.
I don't know about you, but incest with your sister is taking it too far, even in the middle ages.

I don't have an actual screenshot, primarily because it's not necessary. Here's an excerpt from the log of my current game, with the important bits emboldened:

September 27, 1258 : Shahin King of Abbasid accepted peace with Louis Count of Antiocheia on the following terms : Louis Count of Antiocheia paid 2986 $ in indemnities.
September 27, 1258 : Sheikdom of Karbala declared war upon County of Antiocheia.
September 27, 1258 : Kingdom of Ireland declared war upon Sheikdom of Karbala.
September 27, 1258 : County of Guines declared war upon Sheikdom of Karbala.
September 27, 1258 : Kingdom of Abbasid declared war upon County of Guines.
September 27, 1258 : Sheikdom of Bira declared war upon County of Guines.
September 27, 1258 : Emirate of Edessa declared war upon County of Guines.
September 27, 1258 : Sheikdom of Kufa declared war upon County of Guines.
September 27, 1258 : Duchy of Brabant declared war upon Sheikdom of Karbala.
September 27, 1258 : Kingdom of Abbasid declared war upon County of Antiocheia.
September 27, 1258 : Sheikdom of Bira declared war upon County of Antiocheia.
September 27, 1258 : Emirate of Edessa declared war upon County of Antiocheia.
September 27, 1258 : Sheikdom of Kufa declared war upon County of Antiocheia.

I don't know about y'all, but I'd be mad if I shelled out nearly 3000 gold pieces just to have the Abbasids turn right around and declare war again on the same blasted day. :D

The demense bonus, no claim needed to DoW & auto annex upon completion of siege are tied into the ruler's culture, and not the title. For instance, a Mongol King of Rus would have no demense penalty, but a Pecheneg King of the Golden Horde would.

This can lead to a good exploit to stop the Mongols if you're hard-pressed. If the Mongol ruler has a non-Mongol in his line of succession, then you can assassinate them into immediate insolvency.

IIRC the cultural demesne-bonus, at least, was eliminated in 1.05. Johan et al. got sick of people who modded themselves Mongol and got huge a demesne as the Count of Mayo.

I don't know for sure -- why cheat yourself no desmene-penalty when you can simply grant yourself unlimited stats via event?

Nick

EDIT:
I just realized you're the guy who played the Il-Khans. Have you tried converting them to Swedes in any recent patch? Or playing as a Mongol in England?

Cause if you have, and you got all the Cool Mongol Shit, ignore this entire post.

It really makes me wonder how this 1 year old toddler managed to insult my severely wounded king, who's leading siege in Constantinople, in a tourney.

The really shocking thing in your screenshot: The Hohenzollerns as Irish dukes.

Actually, there's an Irish ruler (one of the ui Mordhas, I forget his first name) in the 1066 scenario that looks identical to Friedrich von Hohenzollern. Stuff like this (and Werner von Habsburg's sister and wife looking identical) happens.

I've had a brother and sister fall in love with each other before. I need to screenshot it one of these days.

Has anybody ever seen stats like that? I didn't even know over 20 was possible.
Also don't overlook that lil duck.

Guess I'll better be nice to the Cumans for a few decades...

Hungarians rule the damn world.

Also England is ruled by Italians, Poland by Russians, and Sweden (who has the Leon title with no land in Spain) by Norwegians. This all in span of 70 years staring in 1187.

And if your wondering playing as the Byzantines my King's only son died in battle at age 45, unable to produce a heir with three wifes while alive. The only heir was born after he had died and the empire is ruled by and infant with no heir when the king died. Needless to say I saved often until he grew up a little.
