Man, this is nice, they've got Assault Rifles :D Much better than saying they have laser death rays

But remember - If they bleed, we can kill 'em :D

Chapter IV
Tours, France
January 4th, 1936

Within three hours the alien forces captured the region of Tours. When word came that the city had fallen, no one was surprised. While the small garrison and the militiamen put up a strong front, their lines collapsed from the numbers and superiority of the invasion force. There was one thing that some of the officers had noticed about the aliens, they lacked a strong leadership. They would arrogantly attack at the same place again and again until it crumbled. Regardless of this, they were still pushed back.

With the city under control, the aliens made short work of the captured citizens. Those that could not work were placed into hastily set up camps; those that could work immediately began working in the factories to produce ammunition, weapons, and other munitions of war. It was obvious that these creatures were not here for peace. They were here for the enslavement of the human race.

Over the next few hours the seven spacecrafts shuttled in more and more soldiers into Tours. While the aliens were mobilizing their forces, so was the French government. Scores of men of all ages began to enlist into the army. Trusting the Germans for once, the nine divisions that had previously guarded on the Maginot Line were being transported west. Every division would have to be used in the fight against the invaders.

A hastily formed plan was made which called for a static line of defense along the La Loire and La Rhone rivers. While the plan would call for sacrificing most of southern France to the invaders, the higher ups thought it best to form a strong trench line along the river. The only person to object to this plan was Colonel Charles de Gaulle, a laughing stock amongst his peers. General Pétain quickly shushed Colonel de Gaulle’s objections.

With the plans made, and the divisions being sent to the west, the only thing the world could do was wait. The battle for France was just beginning.

I hope Hitler makes a deal with France and another separate secret deal with the aliens...

Then Germany attacks France...

And then, the aliens betray Hitler!

Poetic justice!

Big mistake of the French, the closer to Tours they meet the Aliens, the shorther their line will be. In this way, they spread out their forces along a several hundred km long front, instead of containing a single city.

And what about the people of southern France? Oh, the humanity!
