I'm having a problem that I guess is related to the mouse wheel. Before the patch I didn't notice anything really, zooming worked as it should, though trying to scroll up or down in lists resulted in top or bottom only.

After the 1.05 patch, the scrolling seems stuck in a permanent up position. Every list is locked at the top, zooming is stuck at the closest level, and so on. Needless to say, this makes the game more or less unplayable.

It is also not related to my mouse. There has been no changes from before and after outside of the game. I have also tried reinstalling, with no effect.

I have a similar problem. My mouse wheel gets stuck in either direction in game. This means I can play either fully zoomed in or out in the Strategic View which I can live with. However it also means I can't view all the information in the Trade Info overview and that is a bit of a game breaker to me.

I have just bought the game and patched it right up using the ingame updater. I don't have this problem in any other program, so it's bound to be related to this game.

I hope someone has a fix for this allthough the previous poster hasn't had an answer despite posting more than a week ago.

You can always try restarting the computer. I haven't played since this problem popped up, but it's worth a try. I'd guess it's some kind of memory leak or something, so a reboot might be enough to cure the symptom.

I already tried it, and it didn't have the desired effect. I'm also considering shelfing the game until this is fixed, because it's really annoying, but then again I just bought the game and haven't even played beyond the tutorials. The game itself has a lot of promise, but being unable to scroll through the lists and zooming properly is a big handicap.:(

This is a long shot but you might decide it is worth a try. Sometimes a fragmented file can cause trouble with a program looking for interrupts, such as the keyboard or mouse. Try defraging your hard drive and see if that helps.

Defragmenting didn't do the trick either, however I'm now able to work around the problem by changing the control settings. I have now changed the zooming functions from the mouse wheel to z and x on the keyboard. This allows me to zoom freely, and because I never use the mouse wheel I can now scroll the lists ports, trade goods etc. using the up and down buttons. This is far from perfect, but it works, and the game is fun so far.:)

If anyone else has any ideas on how to fix the stuck scroller, I would still love to hear them.

This may sound like a silly question, but are you running other programes in the background ? I wouldnt stop your virus checker as once a program is loaded it doesnt seem to care what you do...but certainly if one program has some faults they can clash with another, whereas normally the fault would not be apparent.

Perhaps it is worth checking to see if your graphics card is fully supported. Whilst some programes will run on unsupported graphic cards, they may produce bizzare results.

Apart from that, I am sorry but I cant think of anything more that might help.
