I'm getting a graphical error with the Norse portraits, it looks like their hair and headgear is bugged and is always floating off to the side of the characters' heads
I'm gonna use it in my next play-through. It should be something different, indeed.Cheers!
I'd love some feedback on the Call to Arms part. It makes for quite a different game I think.
No Early Bascinets or Great Helms

It shouldn't conflict. Changing the landed_title file can cause some issues, but at best it only overwrites something and you can solve the flag bugs by cleaning out your gfx-folder. The localisation changes themselves might overwrite some of my stuff, but it doesn't break anything.
Plus one.How about introducing the Valsgarde and Vendel helms for high martial Norse player characters pre-1066?

Also there's a interesting article about a Viking burial site at Birka that appeared to be of a man's grave due to weapons and other grave goods - the skeleton turned out to be a woman's via osteological analysis of the bones as opposed to the Suontaka sword found in the the grave of what appears to be a a woman of high rank - the sword seemed to be ceremonial due to it's intricate hilt. Another thing that was found in the Birka grave was a game board. I'd speculate that it was a tafl or hnefatafl board. From what I've read on that particular game, it was often used to teach strategy which would strengthen the argument that there were indeed female warriors among the Norse as I seriously doubt that such a board would be buried with a non-warrior.

Call to Arms
Features:
Any independent ruler, with at least one higher than baron tier vassal, that becomes primary participant in a war will have to call vassals to arms, but when at peace or a secondary participant only, the ruler will get the possibility to raise liege levies once more
NOTE:
- I've created this with inspiration, and some base code, from this mod.
- Many triggers for factions and decisions have been modified to take into account the drop in the liege's perceived power when he no longer has direct control of his vassals' levies.
- Be aware that this feature is very much experimental and will change your experience significantly.

Very happy about the No Early Bascinets mod. It always bugged me that my character would end up with a Great Helm very early in the game.

Since it is pertinent to both the Norse and a society very heavily influenced by the Norse, would you be amenable to adding the varangian guard event chain to Anglo-Saxon characters? Anglo-Saxon membership in the guard, especially after 1066 is well attested in the historical record.
