I got some CK 2 nostalgia so I was thinking to try out some mod since my main issue with CK 2 is that I have done pretty much everything in vanilla. I really love this game and I have countless hours.
What am I looking for. Something set in a historical setting (so no GOT mode etc).

Something that is very well polished. I cannot stress this enough. But I hope since there has been no new content for half a year and the modders are really putting a lot of hard work behind many interesting mods probably there are some that are very polished by now.

Not really interested in super alt history. Don't care much about playable Celtic paganism or Kemetic. However if they are included as marginal religions that is ok.

Finally a little added difficulty compared to vanilla is welcomed but not necessary.

Edit: Also I own all DLC even those for music and portates packs.

So which mod should I be looking into.

Thanks a lot!!!

popular ones seem to be CK2+ and HIP but i've never played them

Yes indeed these two are the ones that I see being played the most and seen as the best. However I also don't know the first thing about them. From what I read CK 2 + is undergoing an overall overhaul. I don't know if that means that HIP is more up to date and polished at the moment? Sometimes modders already have an excellent mod but always strive for perfection.

What are the differences between CK+ and CK HIP in a nutshell? I was only able to find info from 2 years ago (compatison).

Thank you in advance!
