Well, if you're going that way then, Flanders only became part of the HRE in 1526 :D

Aaaarghhh, start_date to be added for provinces in my "dreaming foolish" proposal :D
I will tell it to Gargamel ;)

I get 1246 as the year too. This discussion here hasn't a source at all.

http://www.heraldica.org/topics/national/hre.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provence
http://www.answers.com/topic/holy-roman-empire
http://columbia.thefreedictionary.com/Provence

All give 1246 as the year that Provence ceased to be a HRE state. The Angevin dynasty received the majority of the region in 1246.

However, it was only definitively incorporated into the French royal domain in 1486, so perhaps 1486 is taken as the year here?

1246 is when Béatrice, Catalan king Raymond Berenger V's daughter, marries Charles I d’Anjou, brother of Saint-Louis, who becomes comte de Provence.

december 1481 is when Charles III, dying, makes Louis XI his heir. In january 1482, Aix Estates recognize king of France as comte de Provence.

Officially but only "virtually", Provence is part of HRE from 1033 to 1482. HRE Emperors were only involved in dynastical "changes".

I think that Provance must be in HRE. Holly Roman Empire is be biger then is in EU2. HRE is create by German emperor Frederick Barbarossa. I dont know which province must include...

So from what I'm reading, I need to take it out again now?

After 1482 (or 1486 exactly, iirc) obviously but between 1246 and 1482, I'm not so sure it should be removed even if authority of the Emperor was only "virtual".

Too bad we don't have a command "hre = yes/no" for scenarios inc files and events with information stored in savefile (and not only in province.csv). My wish for a EU2 1.1 ?

OK, it's out again, thanks.
