I've done quite a few already.

I've already won a legit Dany taking back the throne with Aegon and continued for a while, as well as Aerys ''the mad'', but I haven't really found a seriously challenging Targ start which can be enjoyed and enjoyed some more.

I did actually manage to win a Maelys the Monstrous Blackfyre campaign and take the throne as well, though it ended badly because all of the children turned out... yeah.

Any ideas for an interesting Targ start? Or would you advise Blackfyre because it's harder?

Still having Darksister in circulation is an added bonus.

Daeron the Good during the blackfyre rebellion, Maegor the cruel, I bet there are more around.

Pretty much all Targs start as either rulers of the largest entity in the game, or relatively high in succession to it. In earlier start dates, they even have dragons, which allow anyone to conquer the world in a single lifetime. Challenge is not going to be an easy thing to find.

The Dance of the Dragons is certainly one option (I seem to recall Aegon II being significantly more difficult than Rhaenyra, plus his kids stay Targs), if only because the only thing that can reliably threaten a powerful dragonrider is another powerful dragonrider. Plus, it lets you see the dragon duel mechanic, which is kind of cool.

I suppose you could also try a pre-rebellion Blackfyre start and try to lead Daemon to the throne without all the allies and troops he gets in the actual rebellion.
