Super Fast Building And Leveling (Previously Infinite Demand)

This mod will force buildings to be built almost instantly. Additionally, you can enable fast leveling to increase their levels quicker.

Notice

This mod does not fill houses with citizens. It will cause rapid building, but they will become abandoned if no one moves in. I recommend using the Abandoned Building Remover Mod in addition to this one to help deal with the abandoned buildings.

Features

Super Fast Building

The game will almost instantly build all zoned property types, regardless of current demand.

Fast Leveling

This option is disabled by default. Enable this to increase the level of the buildings at a faster rate. Enabling this setting may cause the game to stutter depending on your city's size.

Reset Settings

Use the reset button to reset all of the mods settings to default.

How It Works

This mod utilizes the Super Fast Building and Fast Leveling debug options ordinarily available in developer mode. Using Harmony, they are enabled by patching the game's code.

Legacy Features (Infinite Demand)

This mod also allows you to control demand for each zone type. Depending on your simulation speed, the demand sliders may take a while to increase. I could never completely understand how the demand system works and expand on this part of the mod. It fills the demand bars and impacts the demand system on a relatively small level. I've decided to leave this in the mod for now and rename it to better represent it's main features. By disabling it, the game's original demand is restored.

Sliders For Each Property Type

You can adjust the demand for each property type (Residential, Commercial, Office, and Industrial) individually on a scale of 0-100.

Disable Demand Override For Each Property Type

You can turn off the override for each property type (Residential, Commercial, Office, and Industrial) and allow the game to calculate the demand as normal.

Other Information

Compatibility and Removal

You can remove the mod at any time, and your save games should not be affected; the normal demand levels will be restored as determined by the game. This mod should not have any compatibility issues with other mods.

I get negative population growth when I enable this mod, I don't know if it is because I am over building or because the simulation does not know how to handle the calculations but unfortunately I think it is doing the opposite of what I needed :(.

FYI demand went to zero when installed and I thought the mod is broken or there is a conflicting mod, but all it is the demand is set to zero as you can customize the level of demand.

Go to settings in game and look for infinite demand mod settings and you will see all the zone types are set to zero. You can change it to a level of your liking or reset to default which will max out all zones demand. This should fix the zero demand issue.

I do ask the Modder if they can have it set to default on install as it will save us time from troubleshooting when there is nothing wrong with mod and less frustration with the game.

BTW I did notice similar things to the user below. I have an issue with population on a constant decline since the mod. I have had 100k population and it went down to 80k. I see constant 500 to 300 cims decline in pop monthly. Not sure if this mod is the cause of this. I will need to disabled and see if pop decline stops, but maybe something to look into.

Thanks.

Thank you all for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

My purposes for creating this mod was more of a temporary solution. I'm not a professional coder so I just took a stab at it, at least until someone comes along and does a better job.

I've posted an update that fixes the initial demand value, and here are some more thoughts:

Thanks for reporting the issue. I fixed the settings in a new update. Hopefully any new downloads won't have the issue going forward!

Unlimited demand industrial zones are not effective

I'm also noticing its not very consistent. I think the game still considers many other factors other then demand when placing new buildings. I'd recommend still placing necessary services and checking on your cims happiness.

My theory is that if there is a high number of abandoned buildings it will make people too unhappy. It may also be possible that the game uses the demand values to make other calculations that may effect cims.

I've released a new update that adds in a Super Fast Build and Ultimate Demand setting along with a Fast Leveling setting.
Using Super Fast Build and Ultimate Demand should resolve any issues with industrial/commercial zones.

hello, i can't seem to find the settings to increase the demands, is it a problem with the mod?
Please make sure the mod is in your active playset / enabled if your using Skyve.
The default settings of the mod should immediately start to increase your demand.
You should see the mod settings if you go to the game's Options menu.

Have to say, like a fair few people in this thread I can't seem to find the mod options either, and my demand hasn't increased at all.
Sounds like you may not have the mod enabled in your active playset. Double check it’s active in your Paradox Playset and Skyve if you are using that. If it’s not showing under the options menu it’s not enabled properly.

i have double checked, and sadly it isn't appearing in my settings... Should i try to wait/update?

Are you using Skyve? Can you go to Maintenance>Help & Logs and search for Infinite and see if anything is popping up? (You have to disable only show warnings and errors)
or check C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\Logs and look for InfiniteDemand there

You can check if the mod is physically installed here:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\.cache\Mods\mods_subscribed\77321_3
