While playing the game I notice a super high memory usage of up to 4-5 GB from only the game (making total usage 6,5 GB/8 GB, maxed out, rest is used for cache). This is basically already when just starting the game or in the asset editor. When I try to stream OBS is therefore showing a very poor performance of <15 FPS. My CPU usage is all this time around 20%.
I can play the game mostly with no lag, even lowered settings or forcing to let it run under Direct X9. But I can't get OBS to show proper FPS. Have been streaming in past Civ 5 BNW etc, with no issue whatsover.
My laptop specs:
W7 home premium 64-bit
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz (8 CPUs)
GPU: Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA Geforce GT 540M 2GB
Memory: 8 GB
I saw in another topic the game has trouble notifying nvidia/intell graphic cards is this the reason why my memory usage skyrockets so high?
Hopefully someone can help me to play the game, while getting a normal 30 FPS in OBS for streaming.
