There are certain problems that I continually run into playing HOI2, and one of them is supply, most specifically supply when a convoy chain is involved. I pay attention to the number of convoys assigned to the chain, and make certain that the chain is escorted. I look to my units and see that they have an unimpeded path back to the port that they are supplying from, and that the convoy line from that port to my primary supply source is also free. Inspite of this, however, I keep finding my troops which are so supported constantly going in and out (and mostly out) of supply!
I don't know what causes this. It has happened to me as Britain, the US, Japan, and even as Germany (with the Afrika Corps). It has even happened when the country I was playing was still at peace. I cannot figure out what causes supply to behave this way or what I need to change to make the supply flow consistantly.
I'm at my wits end with this, seeing offensives stall, and even units bombed out of existence since my unsupplied fighters will not fly up to cover them.
If anyone can explain what it is I'm doing wrong, please help. Thanks.
