Support, Tutorial BEGINNERS help is amazingly weak

Ok so Im not the only one, each video (posted by gamers, the paradox videos are a joke) have almost the same thread: Beginners new to HOI have now effing clue HOW to do it. Yes with some brainsearching you understand the objectives but implement it is extremely complicated. I do like the challenge - sure - this is not CS Go, but when you end up sitting 3 hours watching "tutorials" and trying to implement them with the game running on the next screen( and by switching frpm pausing you tube makes you have to scroll from Africa back to Europe each time, ingame) more than you actually play - then the fun runs out. I spent 5 hours yesterday... and 30 minutes was actually playing the game, the rest was "learning online how to do it" and yet it still 80 % didn't work.

I seriously cant figure out after HOURS ingame how to even create a simple naval attack. How to defend myself is out of the question.

If this was a game ONLY for HOI veterans then please say so and dont take my money ( and the 2000 Euro I just invested in the Paradox stock on the stockholm börsen.)

If not, if you truly offer this for all of us please do the following:
1. Include a more explanatory, easy to use tutorial ingame ( the italy theater) which even has the arrow pointing exactly where to click next etc.

2. When an action cant be done, add more then just text saying "cant be done because bla bla" maybe have a link to HOI wiki where you actually can read about what to do about your denied action.

3. create more tutorials, again for the dummies, i.e over-explanatory.

4. create more tutorials!! again for the dummies, i.e over-explanatory.

5. create more tutorials!! again for the dummies, i.e over-explanatory.


Until then I would like to refund my money OR read an extremely comprehensive guide HERE. Looking forward to a helpful reply.

And just to make sure, Im not talking about advanced tutorials of creating complicated plans ... but simple "HOW TO" guides.

HoI series is the most hard serie of paradox games to learn to. They made a lot of effort to make the game simple to hand on. Tutorials are here explain you how to PLAY, and not how to WIN. To win in HoI you have to learn by exeperiencing. Try things... lose ....annalyse why you lose... retry and learn. Devs have to make the game understandable for noobs, but they don't have to give you the brain you need to win the game. Another thing. If you are a full beginner you have to force yourself to play very slow and you have to be curious about every buttons , informations , numbers , pop-ups you see on your screen.

Ok, thank you for the answer.

I appreciate that is difficult and requires time investment to master it... however the very basics like press button X to activate X could and should be more explanatory. I cant even "analyse why you Iose" because I cant even start a war or defend anything or order troops etc. I honestly cant even form an army after i created 3. Look I´m not gonna bitch more about it, I just want to welcome more guides and tutorials - because I WANT TO play this game and I still believe that its a great game once one knows HOW TO play it. I´m not giving up yet and please please dear community and developers: post links to tutorials etc here and I´m sure more people will benefit from that.

Very few gamers today would sit down to read a manual these days, we all want it served - but here is one game that players are willing to study, just provide the study material thats all.

The argument that the only way is that one must trial and error is something I dont agree with, since the developers must have had a blueprint to work from - thus the instructions (not to WIN or MASTER it - only HOW TO PLAY) are already there - just convert it to readable text / or video and I stop whining.

A concrete example. In this tutorial:

by Paradox. At 5:06 He starts talking about naval invasion. I have watched this 22 times now, but IT DOES NOT WORK WHEN I DO IT, simply NOTHING happens, time just goes by.

Make sure and hover over the armies execute plan button. It will tell you why. If you have more than 10 divisions and you haven't researched the later troop transport trees it won't go beyond 10. Also, naval invasions take time to build up. In some cases it will take up to 70 days to gather transports, prepare troops, etc. Once that is done then the invasions will go. Make sure on the arrow it shows that you have divisions assigned to that order.
