Black Cube Depots won't disappear

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Got the cubism ending about aesthetics, but while playing I tried to move a massive amount of the cubes to another area. Those depots will not delete, even when buildings are placed over them.
I first placed them during the countdown and they were out of range of drones. My thought at the time was to move them with trucks (but then found out trucks can't move them). After I got the ending, I left them for a while until I remembered. I tried a mass delete of them. A few of them did disappear but the bulk of them remain
When you hit the destruct button, they will go through their countdown as normal, give the explode animation and then remain. You can then cancel for some reason their clearing and try again, but to no avail.
i thought perhaps drones had to be nearby but this also does nothing.
Can you replicate the issue?
