Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Trying to start a new game, game crashes to desktop. I've done a clean reinstall and disabled all mods.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes, happens for every new game.

Same here, same error - crash to desktop on start of new game. I have no mods installed, but I do have all DLC

If anyone is locked out from playing the game because they can't fix this, just run the tutorial and the problem clears up. I don't know why but it works. You can just open the tutorial and close it immediately after it starts up, no need to actually play it.

This may be fixed in the hotfix this week, but please try setting the game to low graphics settings, which one user has reported works around this problem.

Well, now it crashes on launch, rather than on start

Dunno if I should file a separate ticket on this....

Ah... I was able to get it to start by launching directly from the app.

I'm not having either of these problems on my iMac ... if you exit Steam and reboot will the game then start from Steam?

And are you still having the original crash on start?
