Ever since I installed the Below and Beyond DLC a few days ago, I get the error message "Some downloadable content requires a game update in order to work" before it goes to the main menu. Screenshot attached. I have looked for available game updates in the Windows store but none are available.
The issue is that none of my DLC - either Green Planet or Below and Beyond - is recognised by the game. I can play the game, however none of the features from either of my installed DLC are present. I've therefore paid for the new DLC but haven't been able to play it.
This wasn't an issue prior to downloading the new DLC - I was previously able to play Green Planet. However if I now try to load a previous saved game that utilised Green Planet , I get a further error message saying "Missing downloadable content: Green Planet" and it won't load the game. Screenshot attached as well. I have checked but when I go to the Windows Store app, it shows that both DLCs are installed - they're not missing.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing both DLCs but this did not work. I have read some forum posts from people with similar (but not identical) issues and I can see that for some, a fully clean un-install and re-install was recommended. If that is the case, I would appreciate guidance on a) how to do that and b) how not to lose my saved games, if possible.
Can you replicate the issue?
Yes, it happens every time I login.
