Flatten, Ramp tools not working, also can't collect resources.
Windows
Epic Store
What is your game version?
Piazzi.10077883[Windows]
Do you have Space Race installed?
No
Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Much like others, the above functionalities are not working for me in my latest save game after this latest update. I don't have any mods or "Space Race" whatever that is.
- When I try and use the landscaping tools I never get any hex tiles shown to indicate where I'm going to be editing the terrain.
- When I direct the RC Transport to go and harvest some metal rocks, it travels to them then just stops and doesn't do anything.
I'm attaching my save files in case it helps you debug the problem. The latest save is the one called "Ben.savegame.sav", and there are a couple of Autosaves from the last few days as well just in case they help you diagnose.
Can you replicate the issue?
To be honest I haven't tried. After reading other forum I understand that if I start a new game that I probably won't have the problem. I mean, I guess that's a solution, but for a game that takes many hours to play through it seems pretty careless to put out a release that essentially breaks every current players save game. I'm a developer myself, so I understand the complexities around issues like this. It just seems like some regression testing was skipped with this release - or perhaps it needs to be implemented in the first place.
Peoples time is their most valuable resource, and issues like this really shake the confidence of players in the stability of your game. I personally don't get much time to play. Why should anyone spend any more time on this game if there's a possibility that 20 hours into a playthrough their save game is going to be rendered unplayable after some update? As good as Surviving Mars is, people will feel that their time is better spent playing one of the other thousands of games that don't have this problem. I think some damage control is needed from your side in order to retain your player base.
I'm hoping you can put out a fix that will not require everyone who was playing the game prior to the last release to start a new game to resolve the problem.
