Description
Game crashes on "New Game" or "Easy Start"

What is your game version?
227,923

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When I click "New Game" or "Easy Start" the game goes to a loading screen, then hard crashes after several seconds.

I have verified the game files, uninstalled/reinstalled, and restarted the computer and the issue persists.

Can you replicate the issue?
issues happens every time a new game is attempted.

Welcome to the forum.
Can you please post your hardware. ( CPU,memory,GPU)
I think that information will make it easier for the Devs to pinpoint what's wrong.

If you're interested in hardware, I'm getting this on 2014 Mac Pro:
Code:
  Model Name: MacBook Pro
  Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,3
  Processor Name: Intel Core i7
  Processor Speed: 2.5 GHz
  Number of Processors: 1
  Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
  L3 Cache: 6 MB
  Memory: 16 GB

  NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M:
Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M
  Type: GPU
  Bus: PCIe
  PCIe Lane Width: x8
  VRAM (Total): 2048 MB

Sorry I forgot to include specs. I had already also filed a ticket so I forgot to put them here too.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

OS and whatnot is in the attached log

Same issue
OSX 10.12.6 (16G1212)
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)
2.5 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

Same issue, though it did start once with some big texture problems (pixelated, rainbow/staticky grid squares).

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)
2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
OS 10.12.6

Settings: 1400x900, Low defaults, both windowed and fullscreen

All UI icons disappear when I start the game, saving and reloading will bring them back but they'll disappear again the second I try to bring up a menu. Reinstalling now.

MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017)

1.8 GHz Intel Core i5

8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

Possible fix from Reddit:

I changed the way the game handles the graphics card (from my understanding): on Steam, right-click and go to Properties, then to "Set launch options" and type in "-force-opengl" (minus the quotes); this is what I did to Cities Skylines when I was having issues playing on my Mac. I have to play on the lowest graphics settings but it's playable.

Specs:
MacBook Pro (13-in, 2014)
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris 1536 MB”

Hardware Overview:

Model Name: MacBook Pro

Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,3

Processor Name: Intel Core i7

Processor Speed: 2.5 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 4

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 6 MB

Memory: 16 GB

Boot ROM Version: MBP112.0142.B00

SMC Version (system): 2.19f12

Serial Number (system): C02NMCRHG3QD

Hardware UUID: D701B842-DBDB-526A-A088-5864562201CD

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Immediate crash upon trying to start game.

I also experience this issue (using the GoG version)

OSX 10.11.6
Macbook Pro (Retina, 15-inch late 2013)
Processor: 2,3 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048MB

Unfortunetately an update to High Sierra isn't that easy for me at the moment (data-limited internet)

Edit:
Wohoo fixed it. Apparently it's a problem with the default graphics driver shipped with the OS. Instead of updating to High Sierra (which would also update the driver i guess) i did some googling and downloaded the correct Web Driver from NVIDIA for my system. After installing that i can play. The graphics do look odd though but that is another bug already under investigation, so i'm patient there.
