Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I'm running Linux Mint 19.3. Up to date drivers. Well within spec for game. Running an RX480 GPU, 32GB of RAM. Ryzen 5 2600 CPU. Downloaded the game. Twice. Try to play the game. It won't load. Won't do anything. The little Steam indicator twirls to indicate that it wants to load and then goes away and the little play icon reappears indicating that the game has crashed or didn't load in the first place. Other games work fine. System is functioning fantastically. It doesn't appear that a log or error report is being generated because there is no such file in any of the locations suggested. This makes me think the game isn't even loading to begin with. I'm seeing quite a few others complaining about this same issue. Thank you for your help.

Um, yeah, every time. The game is literally unplayable in its current state.

Just so you know the only supported distro for this game is Ubuntu, so that may limit how much we can do here.

You've included our launcher logs but this game does not use our launcher?

The game's log file ought to be /home/[UserName]/.local/share/Surviving Mars/logs/ - is that not there?

If not, exit the Steam app entirely then run the game's executable from a terminal command line, What output do you see there when it fails?

That's not a promising response from a technical know-how standpoint. Linux Mint 19.3 is a direct fork of Ubuntu 18.04. In five years of using it I have never seen a game that would run on one and not the other. I will try to make the log files you requested when I get home. I also included the logs above because it was requested of me by Paradox. But if they aren't relevant they aren't relevant. Thanks for trying to help.

It's probably the same problem you can find in other topics. Since the Tourist Update the game stopped working on anything older than Ubuntu 19.04 (or corresponding Mint version).
